Richard’s experience spans the planning, financing, construction and whole-of-life management of engineered assets and their environments. He is particularly passionate about the Healthcare sector. At Health Infrastructure it's about facilitating the development of world-class infrastructure, but also the preservation of these important assets to ensure the continuity of critical services for generations to come.
Prior to joining Health Infrastructure in 2017, Richard’s career spanned several, senior leadership roles in private and public sector institutions, international business units and the execution of major capital and non-capital programs. Additionally, he has extensive, hands-on experience in delivering and operating a wide range of complex projects both, brownfield and greenfield, including smaller augmentations through to major Public Private Partnership (PPP) capital programs. Industry sectors include Mining services, Petrochemical, Social Infrastructure (Education, Health, Justice) and Economic Infrastructure (Transport), Real Estate, Hospitality and Water filtration.
Richard has lived and worked across urban, regional and remote locations of Australia. His roles abroad include the management of complex, post-war infrastructure rehabilitation programs and the development of disaster risk mitigation strategies in developing country contexts.
Richard has a diverse range of qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering and Information Systems. He holds a PhD from Monash University in Knowledge Management.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys research, cycling, travel and time with family.
