Last month Health Infrastructure was delighted to see the opening of our new Paediatrics Unit as part of the Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment.
Designed to be a welcoming and playful environment for children being treated at Lismore, the purpose-built Paediatric Unit is the second floor to open on the $180 million Stage 3B redevelopment.
Local charity Our Kids, provided funding for artworks, with local artists transforming the blank walls into child-friendly spaces filled with colour and expression.
The unit features an outdoor open-air play area, predominantly single rooms, as well as isolation rooms, indoor play space and parents’ lounge.
The NSW Government has invested over $320 million in the Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment which is transforming health facilities for Lismore and surrounding communities.
