The $110.2 million Cowra Hospital Redevelopment has reached a significant milestone with the first concrete poured for the foundation of the new building.
The latest milestone follows significant progress on site, with the project having completed piling works and supporting caping beams, setting the structural foundation for the concrete.
The new hospital will provide a modern facility, improving access to a wide range of health services in the Cowra region, including an emergency department, inpatient ward, maternity unit, dental clinic, the hospital’s first CT Scanner and more.
The design incorporates community feedback, which includes improved access and onsite parking, new landscaped areas and enhanced access to views from the hospital.
Alongside community engagement, the patient and visitor experience is being informed by the Arts Working Group who are ensuring the community’s long held connection with the site is captured through arts and culture initiatives.
