Three new key worker accommodation units have been delivered to Narrandera Health Service, which will help recruit, attract and retain health workers to the local region.
The units will support health workers in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, with staff expected to move into the new accommodation before the end of the year.
The modern and fit-for-purpose self-contained units will be fully furnished and feature a light-filled living and dining area, modern kitchen, bedroom with ensuite, internal laundry and a screened verandah.
It will provide health workers with safe and comfortable accommodation, conveniently located near their place of work.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District is one of three regional local health districts to benefit from a $45.3 million investment to deliver accommodation for health workers under the Key Worker Accommodation Program.
Other locations to benefit from the Program include Finley, Leeton and West Wyalong.
An additional $200.1 million has been committed by the NSW Government to increase key health worker accommodation across rural and regional areas of the state as part of the 2024-25 NSW Budget.
