New timelapse video highlights progress of the Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment

The Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment is celebrating one year of construction, with a new timelapse video showcasing significant progress of the emerging seven-storey acute clinical services building.

The redevelopment will deliver contemporary and expanded hospital services and integrated health facilities to provide vital healthcare closer to home for local communities.

The structure currently stands three storeys tall, with spaces now provided for the pharmacy, mortuary, community spaces, new kitchen, central lift core, new theatre spaces and a new sterilising department.

When complete, the building will feature an emergency department, an intensive care unit, double the number of operating theatres, a cardiology unit, and a new rooftop helipad.

Behind the scenes, planning is already underway to support the operational commissioning and transition into the new facility when completed.

Young families are also benefiting from a new and expanded Shoalhaven Community Preschool, which was completed in August 2023 and has been delivered as part of the redevelopment.

The Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment is expected to be completed in late 2026.
