Hitting a major milestone for communities of Dubbo and surrounds, construction on Dubbo Hospital’s new three-storey clinical building has reached its highest point!

Health Infrastructure’s project team joined the District, hospital staff and political representatives to celebrate the occasion with a ‘topping out’ ceremony on the building’s new rooftop.

Part of the NSW Government’s $150 million Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment, Stages 3 and 4, the new building will include:
  • Emergency department and short stay unit
  • Critical care floor with coronary care/stroke unit; intensive care unit; cardiac catheter laboratory
  • Medical imaging unit
  • Ambulatory care unit
  • Main entry and drop off zone
Construction is also underway on a new and expanded Renal Dialysis Unit, with the new $35 million Dubbo Western Cancer Centre to follow.

With all construction due for completion in 2021, regional and remote communities of Western NSW are set to benefit from improved essential health services closer to home for decades to come.
