Early works have now begun on the Goulburn Base Hospital Redevelopment

The first steps towards construction of the $120 million Goulburn Base Hospital and Health Service Redevelopment begun last week, with early works now underway.

“The commencement of early works marks an exciting period in the redevelopment of the Goulburn Base Hospital precinct, and is a testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of the project team and staff to deliver new and enhanced infrastructure to support the local community,” said Project Director at Health Infrastructure, Scott McKnight.

The redevelopment will provide improved capacity through fit-for-purpose infrastructure including the Emergency Department, intensive care unit and theatres, inpatient services and a comprehensive ambulatory care service.

Main works construction is on track to begin later in the year, and is expected to open late 2021.
