Final site selected for Rouse Hill Hospital

Wednesday 31 March 2021

The final site of the new Rouse Hill Hospital has been identified, ensuring western Sydney’s growing population will have access to the healthcare it needs into the future.

The site is located on the north eastern side of Windsor Road, Rouse Hill, near Commercial Road.
The NSW Government has committed $300 million for the Rouse Hill Hospital Stage 1 project.

The hospital will be integrated with Blacktown and Westmead hospitals, to reduce service demand and provide more efficient specialist services closer to where people live.

The project will also provide opportunities to educate and train healthcare professionals in a non-traditional setting and in partnership with public, private and not-for-profit providers.

Health Infrastructure is working with Transport for NSW to ensure appropriate access to the new hospital for patients, staff and visitors of this fast-growing area of north western Sydney.

A previously identified site did not provide the most appropriate long-term solution for the future hospital, including much needed access from major adjacent roads.

The site acquisition process is underway and is planned to be completed this year.

Construction on the new hospital, which will be delivered by Health Infrastructure in partnership Western Sydney Local Health District, will begin prior to March 2023.
