Health Infrastructure celebrates turning 10

This month Health Infrastructure celebrates our 10-year anniversary that has seen us grow from delivering five projects to over 70. Throughout this time, Health has become the second largest portfolio within the NSW Government with Health Infrastructure alone delivering a $7.7 billion budget this financial year.

During the 10 years, we are pleased to have been able to drive significant change in the look and feel of hospitals to make them more welcoming and less clinical in feel.  We are most fortunate to have had many of our projects win a wide range of significant design, public facility, engagement and arts awards.

In celebrating what we have achieved, Health Infrastructure’s Chief Executive, Sam Sangster said, “in my just over four years here, it has been an absolute privilege to work with our committed team, who as one, go the extra mile to create outcomes within which NSW Health’s clinical staff deliver world class outcomes for patients.”

Working to provide leading infrastructure to match clinical service delivery, Health Infrastructure manages all health capital works redevelopments valued at $10 million and above.

Delivering projects in every corner of NSW, the work Health Infrastructure oversees brings benefits to a wide range of people that is only made possible through collaborating and consulting with Local Health Districts, clinicians, staff and local communities.

The team at Health Infrastructure have worked on an array of health facilities in our short lifespan. These include facilities that have been built new or have been significantly upgraded. These redevelopments are the end product of thousands and thousands of hours of dedicated work from an incredible range of people – from the Ministry of Health, every facet of Local Health Districts and Hospital staff, professional consultants such as architects, project managers, cost managers, engineers, together with construction firms and their array of subcontractors, and critically, from Health Infrastructure’s team.

In our tenth year we have grown to be $7.7 billion business, with a total project pipeline value over $10 billion – a fitting epithet – $10 billion in our tenth year.

The team at Health Infrastructure look forward to continuing to innovate, and to deliver the project holy trinity – on program, on budget and highest possible quality outcomes.
