Mudgee residents eager to learn more about their new hospital

The Mudgee Hospital Redevelopment is a topic close to the hearts of local residents, and so it was no surprise to see over 200 people drop into the community information sessions held last Friday and Saturday in the center of town.

Project staff provided information and gathered feedback on a range of issues, which will be used to inform the next phase of the project.

“The project team would like to thank the local community for taking the time to come in, view the plans and discuss the project with our team,” said Project Director at Health Infrastructure, Katie Babula.

“There is clearly great interest in the new Mudgee hospital and the community is very supportive of the redevelopment,” she said.

The designs for the Mudgee Hospital Redevelopment can be found here. Residents can still provide feedback via the LHD website.

Early works are expected to start on the site in the middle of the year, with construction of the new building scheduled to commence at the end of 2018.
