Who will name the Wagga Wagga crane?

Primary schools kids within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District are being asked to put a name to the crane, with a competition open to name the towering 48.9m crane that has rolled into town for the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital redevelopment.

The crane will help build a multi-storey ambulatory care building to round out the third stage of the $431 million redevelopment.

A number of prizes are up for grabs and select entries will be on display in the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital foyer. Entries close Friday 5 July 2019. Full details are available on the Murrumbidgee LHD website.

Need some inspiration? Some of the winning entries from other hospital redevelopments have included Cranium, Crane-ye West and Sir Lifts a Lot!

Wagga Wagga Base Hospital’s new Ambulatory Care building is on track for completion at the end of 2020. With commissioning set for early 2021, the project will bring new and improved health services to the growing communities of Wagga Wagga and surrounds.
