HI Legal recently organised and hosted a GC21 Workshop and WHS Forum for Health Infrastructure staff, stakeholders, contractors and consultants, for the purposes of enhancing understanding and awareness of HI’s major contracting platform (the GC21 Ed2 delivery contract) and WH&S issues, with key updates.
We were encouraged to see the strong turnout and healthy discussion generated during both events, and thank everyone for their strong patronage and support.
We will conduct a further GC21 workshop in March 2018, and details will issue shortly.
For those unable to attend, the following provides a quick snapshot of the issues canvased with links to material for information.
We look forward to seeing you at future HI Legal events, and once again appreciate all those who attended and participated.
HI legal wishes all at HI (and their families and friends) a wonderful festive season and looks forward to continuing to provide quality service and outcomes across HI’s business throughout the New Year.
- GC21 Workshop: Key GC21 Elements and Updates
The GC21 workshop was held on 11 December 2017, and showcases HI’s major GC21 contracting platform and its key elements. The workshop focussed on key GC21 takeaways, enhancing successful contracting and dealing with common management / administration issues, so the State of NSW ultimately achieves quality and value for money outcomes.

The WHS Forum was held on 22 November 2017 and considered current WH&S risks for HI projects surrounding the issues of contamination management (arising in the context of using recycled construction material) and external stakeholder communications/engagement.
This was based on case studies presented by JBS&G, followed by open interaction and discussion with the audience and presenters, which was well received.
