The $12 million Peak Hill Multipurpose Service was jointly-funded, with $6 million from the NSW Government and $6 million from the Australian Government’s Health and Hospitals Fund.
OVERVIEW
The upgrade of the Peak Hill Multipurpose Service (MPS) facility provides improved health facilities for local residents. Peak Hill MPS plays an important role in delivering care to the local community, as well as coordinating key health and aged care services.
SCOPE
The project has delivered:
- two sub-acute beds
- two respite/palliative beds
- rural emergency care service
- consultation rooms
- 10 high care residential aged care beds
- respite care
- diversional therapy
- general practitioner services
- clinical and operational support services
- chronic disease management programs and clinics
- ambulatory and community acute/ post-acute services
- capacity for a facility-based selfcare renal dialysis space
- refurbishment of existing staff accommodation.
