Health Infrastructure is planning to build the New Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services project, to meet the demand for healthcare services for the growing Illawarra population.
OVERVIEW
The New Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services project will enhance the current and future health services available for the Illawarra by focusing on modern healthcare delivery, service sustainability, networking and consolidation to improve health outcomes for the region. The project will also enable the divestment of ageing infrastructure.
The Australian and NSW Governments have committed over $700 million to develop the New Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services project. This includes a new Shellharbour Hospital on a greenfield site in Dunmore, refurbishment of Bulli and Wollongong Hospitals and the new Warrawong Community Health Centre.
