OVERVIEW
The NSW Government is investing in modern healthcare facilities at Fairfield Hospital to ensure frontline healthcare staff can continue to deliver the world-class care our communities deserve.
The Fairfield Hospital Redevelopment will deliver sustainable, purpose-built health facilities which can meet our health needs for generations to come.
SCOPE
A lead design team including architect Architectus, project manager Turner & Townsend and cost manager Genus Advisory, was appointed in September 2024 following a competitive tender process.
The team will work with Health Infrastructure and South Western Sydney Local Health District to identify future service requirements and start early planning for the site.
The scope of the Fairfield Hospital redevelopment will be finalised during the planning and design phase.
Construction timeframes will be confirmed once a builder is engaged.
BENEFITS
The redevelopment of Fairfield Hospital will significantly enhance the healthcare of the community.
The hospital redevelopment is the foundation of a new ‘health neighbourhood’ for the Fairfield area, which will provide contemporary, integrated health care close to home.
The redevelopment is also set to create local employment opportunities in health, technology, and support services.
CONSULTATION
Staff, stakeholders and the community will be kept informed and consulted as the project progresses.
