Health Infrastructure is planning to build a new hospital at Rouse Hill to provide expanded clinical services and capacity to meet the healthcare needs of the growing north western Sydney community.
OVERVIEW
Rouse Hill Hospital will establish an innovative and research driven hospital for northwest Sydney.
The NSW Government has committed $700 million to develop Rouse Hill Hospital.
BENEFITS
The project will:
- Provide an integrated and networked facility with tertiary services at Blacktown and Westmead hospitals
- Deliver a digital hospital with the latest technology and interconnectivity including digital outreach into the community
- Provide ambulatory care services close to where people live, including diagnostics, observation, treatment and rehabilitation
- Include easy access to transport, including between hospitals for patients and staff
- Have partnerships with primary care to ensure a range of acute and community-care based services are available across the community
- Develop a local health hub
- Deliver an integrated and networked digital Rouse Hill hospital and health precinct that will deliver more than a stand-alone traditional hospital.
SCOPE
The final scope for the Rouse Hill Hospital Development will be determined through the planning process but is expected to include:
- An Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre
- In-patient beds
- Day surgery unit
- Short stay medical assessment services
- Pathology
- Pharmacy, and medical imaging services
- A health hub for virtual care and hospital in the home services
- Prehabilitation, rehabilitation, and lifestyle medicine
- Outpatient and ambulatory care services including paediatrics, renal and women’s health including antenatal and postnatal services
- Administration, staff support and back of house services
- Car parking facilities.
