Health Infrastructure is redeveloping the Goulburn Hospital and Health Service to deliver a fit-for-purpose facility to provide enhanced healthcare for the Goulburn region to meet the current and future needs of the local communities.
OVERVIEW
The Goulburn Hospital and Health Service Redevelopment features the construction of a new clinical services building on the current Goulburn Base Hospital site. Completed in October 2021, the new building now integrates and consolidates most health services in one location in Goulburn.
The NSW Government is investing $165 million to redevelop the Goulburn Hospital and Health Service.

SCOPE
The project includes:
- A new four-storey clinical services building featuring:
- Main entry and hospital reception
- Emergency Department
- Medical imaging department
- Intensive Care Unit
- Operating theatres, day surgery and recovery areas
- Medical, surgical, paediatric, rehabilitation and geriatric inpatient units with specific designated palliative care beds
- Maternity unit and birthing suite, as well as ambulatory paediatric and antenatal clinics
- Improved on-site car parking
- Extension to the community health building for community mental health
- Final works includes:
- Ambulatory outpatients - including physiotherapy and occupational therapy, hospital in the home, wound clinics, stress testing and audiometry
- Oncology
- Aboriginal health
- Transitional living unit
- A new MRI service
- Clinical training facility - part of the ANU redevelopment
- Upgraded car parking off Albert Street to cater for renal, oncology and ambulatory outpatient
