The NSW Government committed $30 million towards the Broken Hill Hospital and Dental Facility Reconfiguration.
OVERVIEW
The project includes the upgrade of parts of Broken Hill Hospital and construction of a new dental facility, in line with the Far West Local Health District’s (FWLHD) Clinical Services Plan.
Key clinical priorities have been addressed through consultation with FWLHD management, staff and clinicians. The redevelopment will modernise existing facilities at Broken Hill and ensure the local community has access to first-class health services.
SCOPE
This project included:
- new integrated community health centre to include:
- child, family and community health services
- five chair dental facility
- new staff offices
- reconfiguration of the ambulatory care wing to expand cancer care services and consolidate waiting areas for patients
- demolition of existing administration building.
