Health Infrastructure is planning to redevelop Finley Hospital to provide improved infrastructure to meet healthcare needs of the community now, and into the future.
OVERVIEW
The Finley Health Service Redevelopment is progressing with planning currently underway including consultation with clinical staff.
The NSW Government has committed $25 million to redevelop Finley Hospital.
BENEFITS
The upgrade will deliver a patient-focused health service and enhanced models of care across all existing services.
SCOPE
The scope for the redevelopment will be determined through the planning process, and is expected to:
- expand and reconfigure the reception area
- deliver new inpatient rooms
- relocate the medical imaging unit and provide a new ultrasound service
- improve the Emergency Department
- provide essential service upgrades including IT for a better connected health service, and
- improve staff facilities.
In addition, new staff accommodation units will be built on the existing hospital site to replace the aging staff accommodation block as part of the Key Worker Accommodation project. This is a separate project to the Finley Health Service Redevelopment but will run concurrently.
