Health Infrastructure built a new hospital and provided a refurbished community health facility to service the health needs of Inverell and surrounding communities.
OVERVIEW
The Inverell Hospital Redevelopment project involved a major upgrade of the Inverell Health Service to deliver a modern hospital, enhanced services and quality care to patients.
Stage 1A delivered a new acute services hospital to house all existing services and provide expanded capacity for renal dialysis and day surgery patients. Stage 1B is underway and includes refurbishing the old hospital to allow the existing community health services to be relocated from their current premises to a more contemporary setting.
All acute and community health services are now co-located under one roof providing greater integration of services for staff and patients. This model improves care coordination, which will help patients achieve better health outcomes.
The NSW Government is investing $60 million to redevelop the Inverell Hospital.
