Health Infrastructure is planning for a new ambulance station at Jindabyne to provide a high-quality base for our local paramedics, tailored to the emergency care needs of the region. The new station will replace the aging station at Thredbo Terrace.
OVERVIEW
The Jindabyne Ambulance Station is part of Stage 2 of the NSW Government’s Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
The RAIR program is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance’s almost 130-year history, with 54 new, rebuilt or upgraded ambulance stations being delivered in rural and regional NSW, to support the delivery of enhanced out-of-hospital emergency medical care to the community.
The NSW Government is investing $232 million to deliver the Rural Ambulance Reconfiguration (RAIR) Stages 1 and 2 programs.
BENEFITS
The project will:
- Optimise paramedic response times and support critical lifesaving care
- Provide a better working environment for local paramedics
- Better meet the current and future demand for emergency medical care in Jindabyne.
SCOPE
The new Jindabyne station will feature internal parking bays, a wash bay, administration and office areas, staff amenities to assist with staff rest and wellbeing, staff parking, as well as logistics and storage areas.
