Health Infrastructure is planning to redevelop Temora Hospital to provide improved healthcare services to the local community.
OVERVIEW
The Temora Health Service Redevelopment will provide a high-quality contemporary health facility and ensure healthcare services are carefully planned to meet community needs now, and into the future.
The NSW Government has committed $95 million to the Temora Health Service Redevelopment.
BENEFITS
The project will:
- Provide the community with access to a new and modern hospital which integrates all services under one roof from the acute and non-hospital settings such as inpatient care, maternity services, surgical services, community health, mental health and drug and alcohol and oral health.
- Include an increase to the medical imaging capability at the Hospital with the addition of ultrasound and CT machine to the existing X-ray service.
SCOPE
The new Temora Hospital will provide:
- Emergency Department
- Inpatient Unit for flexible use for medical, surgical, rehabilitation, maternity and palliative care patients
- Birthing and nursery
- Operating theatre and procedure room
- Allied health and ambulatory clinics with gymnasium
- Community health, mental health, drug and alcohol
- Medical Imaging and
- Pathology.
New services to be delivered include an additional procedure room in the perioperative suite and expansion of the medical imaging unit to include a new ultrasound and CT service.
Improved car parking for patients, staff and visitors, as well as separate emergency and service vehicle entry are included as part of the design.
