A look inside the recently opened Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment’s Paediatrics Unit

 

Last month Health Infrastructure was delighted to see the opening of our new Paediatrics Unit as part of the Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment.

Designed to be a welcoming and playful environment for children being treated at Lismore, the purpose-built Paediatric Unit is the second floor to open on the $180 million Stage 3B redevelopment.

Local charity Our Kids, provided funding for artworks, with local artists transforming the blank walls into child-friendly spaces filled with colour and expression.

The unit features an outdoor open-air play area, predominantly single rooms, as well as isolation rooms, indoor play space and parents’ lounge.

The NSW Government has invested over $320 million in the Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment which is transforming health facilities for Lismore and surrounding communities.
