Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment wins European Healthcare Design Awards

Campbelltown Hospital Stage 2 Redevelopment project team won the ‘Mental Health Design’ and ‘Interior Design and Arts’ awards at the European Healthcare Design awards held in London.

The European Healthcare Design Awards acknowledge leading design projects that demonstrate exceptional creativity and innovation in the healthcare industry.

As part of the Interior Design Arts award, the project team earned international recognition for its visionary design and thoughtful integration of arts at Campbelltown to enhance healthcare buildings, providing uplifting and comforting environments for patients, visitors, staff and the community.

Congratulations to the project’s architects Billard Leece Partnership (BLP), who worked closely with the project team and local Campbelltown and Dharawal community, artists and designers.

The Mental Health Design award celebrated the Campbelltown Hospital Stage 2 Redevelopment’s insightful design and patient-centric spaces with six-storeys of mental health services, supporting modern models of trauma-informed mental health care.

One of the first facilities of its type in Australia to unify mental health services with mainstream health provision, the redevelopment is a major hub for mental healthcare in the Macarthur and wider South Western Sydney region.

HI is proud to win this award with our partners BLP, South Western Sydney Local Health District, Campbelltown Arts Centre, CPB Contractors, Turner & Townsend, and contributing artists, Nicole Monks and Dr Erica Seccombe.
