Site announced for new Lake Cathie Ambulance Station

Tuesday 21 September 2021

The site for the new purpose-built Lake Cathie ambulance station, delivered under the NSW Government’s $232 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program, has been announced as 1379 Ocean Drive.

Key features of the new station, to service the local communities in Lake Cathie and Bonny Hills, include internal parking for up to four emergency ambulance vehicles, relief accommodation for paramedics, an internal wash bay, administration, office, logistics and storage areas, and staff parking.

The RAIR program is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance’s 126-year history, with 24 new or upgraded ambulance stations already delivered or under construction as part of the $132 million Stage 1.

Following on from the success of Stage 1, an additional $100 million worth of ambulance assets are being delivered under Stage 2 of the program, including Medowie.
