New Wyong and Toukley ambulance stations announced

The NSW Government’s $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program will see two new NSW Ambulance stations at Toukley and Wyong.

In addition to the existing ambulance station in Wyong, a second station will be constructed as part of the Wyong Hospital campus at Hamlyn Terrace. A new facility in Toukley will replace the existing station at 240 Main Road.

Health Infrastructure’s Senior Project Director, Anthony Dimech acknowledged this important milestone in delivering the two new stations for the Central Coast.

“Planning approvals will shortly begin, and tenders have been called for the demolition of Toukley and construction of both stations,” Mr Dimech said.

Consultation with local paramedics has provided key insights into these projects and is helping to develop this fit-for-purpose infrastructure for paramedics to best serve their local community.

The RAIR program currently includes 22 locations across the state that will benefit from an upgraded, rebuilt or entirely new ambulance station.
