The community of Fairy Meadow will receive its own Ambulance station under the NSW Government’s $100 million Stage 2 Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
The new Ambulance station will provide a modern and contemporary working environment for paramedics while supporting additional service demand for the region.
Next steps include determining the location for the station, a process which will be guided by best practice international software which maps Triple Zero calls.
The RAIR program is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance’s 126-year history, with 24 new or upgraded ambulance stations already delivered or under construction as part of the $132 million Stage 1 program. The new station for the Illawarra community is part of the NSW Government’s additional investment in Stage 2 of the program.
