Celebrating great community collaboration, Health Infrastructure and the Western Sydney Local Health District is proud to have received special commendation at the
Greater Sydney Planning Awards 2019.
Part of the NSW Government’s $700 million Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals expansion, the $3.5 million facility drew the judges’ attention with its commitment to community participation.
The Mount Druitt Community Dialysis Centre makes it easier for patients to access contemporary treatment closer to home.
Integrating nursing, allied health and support services, the Centre also offers greater opportunities for training, education and research.
The team is also particularly proud of the local Aboriginal arts and healing garden.
