Work on the $20 million Manning Hospital Redevelopment is progressing well, with the roof of the building now nearing completion and construction on track to finish later in the year.
“It has been a great pleasure to work on this community focused project,” said Project Director at Health Infrastructure, Bruce Greenwood.
“This facility is being built for the community and by the community, in fact 74% of our on site workers are local to the area. This close connection brings a certain sense of camaraderie to our project team,” he said.
The new facility at Manning Hospital will deliver improved staff and patient amenities and clinical spaces that will assist the delivery of contemporary models of care for residents of Taree and surrounding areas.
This $20 million redevelopment will deliver:
- 8 satellite renal dialysis chairs including 1 isolation room, plus 2 home training chairs
- 8 chemotherapy chairs, including 1 isolation room and a procedure room
- 6 shared consulting spaces
- Enhanced way-finding and access to the main hospital entrance and reception
- New build areas to be supported by adequate waiting areas, staff amenities, storage and
- office spaces
- A platform for the future expansion of further identified clinical priorities.
