Central Coast communities welcomed another milestone at Gosford Hospital over the weekend, with the official opening of a highly anticipated 11-storey tower.
Part of the $348 million redevelopment of the hospital, the new tower features:
- An expanded Special Care Nursery for newborns, parents and carers
- An Intensive Care Unit
- A new MRI machine capable of diagnosing stroke, cancer, infection and joint abnormalities
- More comfortable patient accommodation and waiting rooms
- Dedicated staff and patient lifts to offer more privacy and convenience
“A big thank you and congratulations to all involved in this project. This official opening marks a significant step forward in achieving positive outcomes for community health now and into the future,” said Project Director at Health Infrastructure, Dominic Longo.
