Health Infrastructure, in partnership with South Eastern Sydney LHD, Multiplex and Johnstaff delivered the centerpiece of the NSW Government’s $277 million St George Hospital Redevelopment, the Acute Services Building late last year. This could not have been done without listening and collaborating with our partners and hospital staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for the local community.
It is through the successes of our projects that Health Infrastructure continues to value the collaborative process, employed across our entire portfolio.
From day one of the project, knowledge of on-site medical staff was sought to determine the overall vision of the building, ensuring it works to the needs of staff and patients. It was continued collaboration that allowed this fit-for-purpose facility to become what it is today.
Building in a live environment was the greatest challenge of this project. Working on top of the existing Emergency Department and next to birthing suites and operating theatres presented logistical challenges during the construction phase. Through on-going consultation with clinical staff, existing facilities were able to continue running.
